TE Connectivity (TE), a global leader in Connectivity and sensors, has launched the val-u-lok connector series, which increases the maximum rated current of the widely used 4.2mm centerline spaced connector system from 9A to 13A.In many applications, the power supply must be connected to printed circuit boards or various subsystems.TE's new 13A val-u-lok connector supports high current requirements for off-line and line-to-line connections in a variety of application scenarios, supports different options for customers to choose from, prevents misalignment of connectors on PCB boards, and offers a variety of material options that meet flame retardant standards in different regions of the world.
The rated current of the terminal plug in the new VAL-U-LOK connector is up to 13A per line.The val-u-lok connector has been carefully designed to meet the ul94-v-0 flame retardant standard and has passed the 750?0?8C glow-wire test (no flame) can meet the needs of customers with glow-wire test requirements in their market.
The new val-u-lok connector terminal, also rated at 13A, is compatible with existing plastic casings and supports line-to-line and line-to-board applications and panel mounting.TE can be configured with different models, including 16 AWG and 22-18 AWG wires. The shell can be equipped with terminal position buckle (TPA) device, and the terminals support backward compatibility. The same pressing tool can be used as the terminals of 9A.
